Russ Morash is an American television producer and director, best known for his work on cooking and gardening shows. He was born on February 3, 1939, in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Morash began his career as a producer for WGBH-TV, a public television station in Boston. He went on to produce and direct some of the most popular cooking and gardening shows on television, including "The French Chef" with Julia Child, "This Old House," "The Victory Garden," and "Simply Ming."
Morash has been awarded numerous accolades for his work in television, including the James Beard Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award, multiple Emmy Awards, and a Peabody Award. He has also been inducted into the National Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame and the Massachusetts Broadcasting Hall of Fame.
In addition to his work in television, Morash is an accomplished photographer and has published several books on gardening and cooking. He currently resides in Edgartown, Massachusetts.
